How did End PKD Inc. all start? For years now, I have been asking folks, "Have you ever heard of Polycystic Kidney Disease"? The no's were omnipresent. So, I challenged others who's opinions I respected and they gave me the same answer. Surprisingly, most people have never heard of this disease, yet 600,000 Americans are counting on their media and elected officials to give this issue the same attention and urgency as they do steroids in baseball or gay marriage.
Less than *15,000 people died on our nations highways due to drunk drivers last year, their is a group who considers themselves, "MADD". My concerns are for the Americans and estimated 15,000,000 to 20,000,000 (million) people and families worldwide daily dealing directly with Polycystic Kidney Disease. Tens of millions of future victims are in the wings waiting for this silent killer. Polycystic Kidney Disease does not discriminate, it affects humans of every gender, race, or national origin equally! It likes people.

Nationally, at any given time 98,000 people are in need of an organ transplant. 72,000 of those people are in need of a kidney. The list is growing too. These are people on dialysis, patiently, quietly, believing that the medical community, the media, and the national law makers understand the human impact from this genetic disease.
Nationally, 12 PEOPLE a day across America DIE waiting, on dialysis for an kidney from PKD. That is 84 NAMELESS PEOPLE every week disappearing. This past year more people have died from PKD in the U.S.A. waiting on dialysis than, ALL U.S. Military lives claimed for the first six years of the entire, "War on Terror". *6 to 1 ratio (+4,300) for the bean counters.
Someone in the United States of America is born with Polycystic Kidney Disease every 66.6 minutes. As this disease mutates into our society this value will change. 38% of the Persian cats have PKD. Save the cats! I wonder if they are putting cats on dialysis every other day for five hours a day for five to six years before they qualify for a transplant also.
Autism effects 1 in 150 people, "no one dies". But new data is now coming out to suggest that Autism really effects 1 in 98. That is a 33% difference from previous claims.
They claim, Polycystic Kidney Disease effects 1 in 500, now. Since like previously mentioned that the real scope of this disease is not understood with is a good chance that a 33% disparity could be real. That would mean that 1 in 333 people could have PKD. This would really blow all the numbers presented here out of the water. If society waits till PKD mutates to where effects 1 in 150 people we will have FAILED.

All numbers Globally are based on that there is 15,000,000 (million) people with Polycystic Kidney Disease. Verses the 20,000,000 (million) people as advertised in some publications.
AIDS has effected, 33,000,000 (million) people Globally.
1,800,000 People are on dialysis at any given time. This treatment, is for five to six years (average term), up to 6 hours a day every other day (no exceptions). With 300 of these people a DAY globally dying. Dialysis patients are globally quietly, wait on their media, law makers, and medical community, to acknowledge this disease. Kidney disease in general is handled differently than other diseases that are not as debilitating.
Globally over 110,000 individuals die a year waiting. It has been this way for years, millions of people have died prematurely, unable to realize there potential, due to the long term affects of Polycystic Kidney Disease... Is this an orphan disease? Many think it is an epidemic or PANDEMIC.

Now as of May 27, 2009 we are supposed to be afraid of the, "H1N1 Flu Virus". You know the multiple forms swine (pig), bird, and two forms of human flu that most doctors agree could not have developed naturally. Well as of June 11, 2009 The World Health Organization (WHO) went to, Level 6 the highest level designated in the United Nations documents. This is the first time in over forty (40) years that the U.S. has been at Level 6. This translates into a Worldwide "emergency" requiring that everyone will be taking vaccines developed by N.I.H.. N.I.H. was awarded 6 Billion dollars to develop vaccines for this planned franken flu virus. The F.D.A. has had their standards lowered so they do not have to test these new medications and vaccines at the same standards as they used too. As of August 6, 2009 the WHO reports the number of case are 177,457 Globally and 1462 deaths contributed to this, "PANDEMIC".
From May 27, 2009 till August 6, 2009 time frame over 21,000 individuals with PKD Globally have just faded away, mostly unnoticed . Isn't true that Dick Chaney, is an officer in the company that owns Tamiflu. This new pandemic to me is a joke! It is conditioning you to expect these emergencies, if not other worse things to come. It is all about conditioning and control of the masses for implementing United Nation laws.
June 11, 2009 the U.S. Congress obtained 258 co-sponsors for HR 1207 the "Federal Reserve Transparency Act". Congress only needed 212 to validate this Resolution. Nancy, Harry & Barney would not allow this Resolution to the floor of the Senate. HR 1207, has gone back to the House where it has picked up 336 co-sponsors. This noble effort will MAKE the Federal Reserve Banksters answer to our PEOPLE what they are doing with the American tax payers money, and where it is going. I had a person say to me, that Polycystic Kidney Disease was an orphan disease. I looked at them strangely, so they followed it up with, its a disease that not many people have. That is why there is so little interest. That's fair, how do I overcome this mind set? So in the spirit of fairness I present some examples.
First a little note, this is the only life threatening disease that early detection is discouraged. No treatment, No cure. So the REAL NUMBERS of individuals that die due to this disease are not accurately recorded or measured. There is, No unified Global effort, to understand the real scope of this disease. So with that understanding, these are human lives or families in a number form to demonstrate the impact of Polycystic Kidney Disease.
1 in 9 people suffer from a Kidney Disorder. Polycystic Kidney Disease, is the most prevalent of all kidney diseases. Most kidney transplants are due to PKD. The cornea (eye) is the only other human organ transplanted more frequently than the kidney.
600,000 Individuals nationally are effected by PKD, 400,000 people are effected by M.S., recently WORLD AIDS DAY occurred, they claim that AIDS affects 1,000,000 nationally.
Since 1985, AIDS has had its 15 seconds of fame.

First; we are raising Worldwide public awareness about the prevalence of this disease. This is not only one of the least known but is arguably one of the most prevalent of human genetic maladies. Millions of American families are facing years of pain and loss. The strain and cost on our health care system and our Country will grow exponentially until a solution is found.
Second; we strive to present, "options". To help improve the quality of life for those already living with this disease and the families that support them. Since knowledge is power, we will continue share all the useful information we can find about disease management, diet, helpful lifestyle tips, links to dialysis centers around the world. Even links to travel agencies that can plan a vacation to exotic locales that can accommodate your medical needs.
Third; we are exploring, new hi-tech medical methods that are going on in different disciplines. The interest Globally has grown, due to the understanding of what PKD costs society.
